I visited Pine River Lodge a few days ago and was very impressed. Pine River lodge is located in the heart of the San Juan National Forest of the great Rocky Mountains in Bayfield Colorado. When I arrived at the lodge it was fantastic, it over looks the beautiful Lake Vallecito. The Pine River Lodge has been welcoming family and friends from all over since 1960. They have 30 cabins of all different sizes to handle any occasion. Once you have visited this beautiful place you will be a repeat vacationer.

Debbie one of their owners spent a lot of time showing me around the lodge. The marina is 2 minutes away. There is also horse back riding and dining on the lake. Debbie was a great host and everyone that stays there is treated like family.

 Debbie knows the area very well and loves to have the hunters there.  She will show you around and point you in the right direction and get you off on a wonderful hunt. This is a great place to go if you are looking to hunt on public land. Pine River Lodge has many of accommodations for this. They have a spot for hanging your game and prepping it, and a place to store it.

Whether you come camping in the summer or come in the fall for hunting season I recommend checking this lodge out. They have a great discount program for the hunting season.

When your not playing hard or out for that long day of hunting you can enjoy many of there facilities such as, indoor pool, hot tub, ping pong, pool table and many more activities that you will find here. “The fishing is great there too”
