WELCOME COLORADO HUNTING EXPEDITIONS
BOB AND TERRI LUNA
Colorado Hunting Expeditions is located in the southwest
corner of Colorado in the San Juan
Mountains just 50 miles northwest of Durango. I visited with the owners Bob and
Terri Luna at their beautiful lodge and they welcomed me with open arms.
They graciously invited me in and made me feel right at home.
Bob and Terri have a very beautiful 6000 sq ft lodge
that over-looks the McPhee reservoir. As you look around the lodge you can
see many of the big game trophies from all over the world. The surrounding
atmosphere let’s a tired hunter relax after a long day of hunting. The lodge
can sleep up to 35 guests at a time. There are so many wonderful things to
do while you stay at the lodge. If you would like to relax in the big
sitting room and watch T.V. on the big screen or play a game of pool those
are just some of the amenities. As you walk out on to the front porch you
can see the peaceful serenity of the McPhee reservoir.
While you are here you will never go hungry. Terri cooks some of the most
mouth watering meals you could ever eat. Terri prepares all of the food for
breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. From personal experience Terri is a
top-notch chief.
I spent the day with Bob and let me tell you what a great guy. Bob took me
out and showed me the properties that he does his hunts on. Bob has access
to 30,000 acres in the San Juan Mountains. All of which are private land
hunts. They have a couple of cabins out there that can sleep up to 10 at a
time. On these properties you will also find hunting blinds. These blinds
are set up in terrific areas. Bob and Terri also have land they hunt in
Utah, New Mexico. They also have ownership in the Talstar lodge in Alaska,
which they take up to 7 people a year to. They also have a lot of summer
activities that they do. After Bob and I returned, Terri and I went jet
skiing on Mcphee reservoir. Just one more of the many great things I got to
do. While staying there I watched many people pass through the lodge and all
of these people showed Bob and Terri the utmost respect. Bob and Terri
showed me that they treat everyone like family.
