Hunter Boehmer was born in Johnson City, TN.  He attended the University of Tennessee, and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting in 2004.  After a fishing trip through Montana in the summer of 2006 he put down the pencil and moved west.  He currently works for an outfitter south of Bozeman, MT while pursuing freelance writing on the side.  He spends his free time hiking, fly-fishing and duck hunting.
